Some of these Directions are taken from the Eastern Counties Handbook, and some have been written after personally visiting the grounds. All directions are from Colchester. Road layouts change from time to time, so if you get lost, it ain't my fault!

DIRECTIONS TO COLCHESTER RUGBY CLUB
From the M25 take the A12 exit (Junction 28). After 40 miles take the exit for Colchester North A1232 (this is the 3rd exit signposted Colchester).
From the Midlands take the A14 eastbound then the A12 southbound at Ipswich. Take the first exit for Colchester A1232.
Go towards the town centre. Turn right at the first lights by car dealership into Severalls Lane. Go over a mini roundabout then turn left at the next roundabout into Mill Road. Go over one more roundabout and the Rugby Club entrance is 50m on the right.

Ampthill & District
RFC
Take
the A12 towards Brentwood, then the M25. Take the A1(M) northbound.
Leave the A1(M) at J8.
Aylesford RFC
Leave M20 at J5. Head westwards on A20. Turn right at the second set of
traffic lights (Hall Road). Turn right into Ground after motorway bridge.
Bancroft RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood and the M25 Northbound then the M11 towards
London. At the M11/A406 "Waterworks" Junction take the 104 to
Woodford Green, and then turn right into Broadmead Road by the Castle Public
House. At the second set of lights turn left and follow through for one
mile. The ground is on the right before the railway bridge (Buckhurst
Way).
Barking RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood then the M25 Towards Dartford. At
Junction 31 take the A13 Westbound towards Dagenham and London. Go past
the Ford Motor Works and take the fourth exit off the next roundabout back onto
the opposite side of the A13 dual carriageway. The clubhouse is half a
mile on the left hand side.
Basildon RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood. On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130
towards Southend. At the A127 go right towards London. Turn left
onto the A132, turn right at the second roundabout A1235, right at the first
lights (not pedestrian lights) into Gardiners Lane South. Take the first
left into Gardiners Close. Ground is at the
end.
Beccles RUFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, and continue on the A12 towards Lowestoft.
Just after Blythburgh turn left onto to A145 to Beccles. In Beccles turn
right at traffic lights into Peddars Lane. At the next lights turn left
and then take a right into Grove Road. Continue over railway crossing and
take the first left into Common Lane. The ground and clubhouse are on the
left.
Bedford Athletic
Come up the A1 and take the second
roundabout exit for Bedford known as the "Black Cat Roundabout". Its
the one with the Little Chef and across the road on the right McDonalds.
Go along that road
(about 7-10 miles I guess), through Great Barford WATCH
YOUR SPEED! until you come to a roundabout.
Its the first roundabout you come to along that road. Left will take
you down the new by pass, right will take you in to town. Take the right.
After about 0.5 miles, you will then come to another
roundabout. MFI will be on the right. Take this right. This will take you
through an industrial estate. Go straight over a roundabout in the middle of the
industrial estate. Keep going past the cemetery on the right. You will come to
another round about. Go straight over. This is Wentworth drive. About 0.5 mile
on the right is the club
Biggleswade
RUFC
From the A1 Northbound - Turn
right at the Biggleswade south roundabout. Follow the London Road until you
reach the town centre. At the first mini roundabout just before the market
square bear left, and follow the road round until you reach a set of traffic
lights. Turn Left. Continue on this road out of town, under the A1 flyover, and
past the turning for Broom. The Rugby Club is about 100 yards past the Broom
turning on the right.
Bishops
Stortford RFC
Take the A120 towards Stansted
Airport. Keep on the A120 beyond the Airport and over the M11
until you get to a roundabout with a Tesco's by it. Turn left
taking the A1250 towards Bishops Stortford. The ground is about
half a mile on the left.
Braintree
RFC
Take the A12 towards London. At
Marks Tey take the A120 towards Braintree. Turn left at the first
roundabout approaching Braintree. At the next roundabout take the
fourth exit signposted Braintree. Turn right after about 500yds
into Beckers Green Road. Braintree Rugby Club is at the end of
this road.
Brentwood RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood. Leave the A12 at the A1023 to
Brentwood/Shenfield. Follow the A1023 through traffic lights, Eagle &
Child Public House, turn left into Middleton Hall Lane. At the next
traffic lights turn left into Ingrave Road (A128). Afetr 800 yards (over
rail bridge, just before Pelican lights) entrance to ground on right.
Bromley
RFC
Take the A12 towards London and
then the M25 over the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Take
the A21 towards Croydon, then turn left onto the A232 Old Croydon
Road. When you pass a junction with the Keston Mark Public House
take the next major road on the right called Five Elms Road.
Bromley Rugby Club is at the end of this road at the junction
with Barnet Wood Road.
Burnham-on-Crouch RFC
From Maldon follow the signs to Burnham, picking up the B1010. Turn
right at the T junction (large tree) to Town Centre, over railway bridge to
Library on right. Entrance to ground immediately on right. Dengie
Hundred Sports Centre 150 yards.
Bury St
Edmunds RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich and
then the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds. Take the first slip road
for Bury St Edmunds and at the roundabout follow the A134 towards
the town centre. Follow the same road over the next roundabout
after which you will see a petrol station. The entrance to the
rugby ground is on the right immediately after the petrol station. There
is no right turn, so go on to the next roundabout, came back on yourself and
turn left into the ground.
Cambridge
RFC
From the M11 turn off at Junction
12 (A603) and head towards Cambridge. When you enter Cambridge
take the first right into Grantchester Road. The ground is 300
yards on the right.
Campion RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, and continue past the M25. At the
third set of Traffic Light past Gallows Corner turn left into Mawney Road.
At the end before the T junction turn right into Marks Road. The entrance
to the ground is first on the left.
Cantabrigian RUFC
Take the A120 towards Stansted Airport and then take the M11 northbound
towards Cambridge. Leave at exit 11 (A1309) to Cambridge, at the second
traffic lights into Long Road (Addenbrookes sign). Just beyond the railway
bridge turn left into Sedley Taylor Road. The very narrow entrance to the
ground is almost immediately on the left between houses.
Canvey
Island RFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford
and the A130 towards Basildon. When you get to Canvey go over two
roundabouts - Pass Castle View School on left - Take next left
turn - Ground 300yds on left. Club Address: Tewkes Creek,
Dovervelt Road, Canvey Island
Clacton
RFC
Head east out of Colchester and
get on the A133 towards Clacton. At the first roundabout in
Clacton take the second exit (signed to Frinton, Walton and Gt
Clacton) into Valley Road. Keep on this road for a couple of
miles until you get to a railway bridge. The ground is on the
right after the bridge.
Chelmsford
RFC
Take the A12 towards London. Take
the first exit signposted to Chelmsford and get onto the A138.
Take the slip road signposted Springfield and Chelmer Village. At
the roundabout at the bottom take the 4th exit to Chelmsford A1113.
Follow this road over a roundabout. After 400yds turn left after
the Plough public house. Chelmsford Rugby Club is in Coronation
Park at the end of the road on the right.
Cheshunt RFC
Take the A12 towards London and the M25
towards Watford. Ay Junction 25 head north. At the first roundabout
take the first exit into Ellis Way, go straight over the next two roundabouts
and take the first left into Andrews Lane. The club entrance is 200 yards
on the left.
Chingford RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, then the M25 towards Harlow, them the M11
towards London. Take the A406 westbound. Approx 3 miles to Cooks
Ferry Junction, signs to Chingford, around roundabout under viaduct and left
into A1009. Over mini roundabout the 1 mile, ground on left.
Civil Service FC
Coming from the West, Staveley Gardens leads into Riverside Drive, on the
right off the A316 Chertsey Road before it meets the A4 at Hogarth Roundabout;
coming from Central London, or the East, take A316 Exit off A4 at Hogarth
Roundabout, Staveley Gardens is on the left. The ground is at the end of
Riverside Gardens.
Crowborough RFC
South on A26 from Tunbridge Wells, Club signposted at r/about after village of
Boarshead.
Crusaders RUFC
Take B1108 Norwich-Watton Road. About 2 miles after UEA turn, pass over
Norwich Bypass and turn left (Lt Melton), through village, left at phone box,
first right (Hethersett), ground 400 yards on right.
Dagenham RUFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, the M25 southbound, and the A13 towards
London. Turn into Ballards Road at the Princess Bowl/McDonald's
junction. On to Bull Roundabout, take 1st left, pass Dagenham East
Station. Over the Eastbrook PH junction. Ground is 300 yards on the
right through park gates
Diss RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, then
the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds, then the A140 towards Norwich.
After about 12 miles turn left following the signposts to Diss.
Drive through Diss and out the other side. When you get to Roydon
turn right at the White Hart Pub into Bell Rope Lane. Diss Rugby
Club is 50 yards on the left.
East London RFC
Take the A13 to Canning Town roundabout, Liverpool Road, proceed via Star
lane into Manor Road.
Ely RFC
Take the A10 to Ely bypassing Ely Centre and look for the B1411 Road to
Little Downham. The slip road to Ely RFC is about 20m down the B1411 on
the left. The ground is clearly visible from the A10.
Eton Manor RFC
Take the A12 towards London and carry on past Gallows Corner onto Eastern
Avenue. Right into Wanstead High Road - First right into Grove Park - Bear
right into The Avenue - Right into Leicester Road - Left into Nutter Lane - Follow
to end of lane.
Felixstowe RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, then the A14 towards Felixstowe. At the
second roundabout turn right into Garrison Lane, go over traffic lights and
railway crossing, and turn right into Mill Lane. The ground is at the end
on the left.
Finchley RFC
From the North Circular Road (A406) take the A1000 (High Road Finchley) to
Summers Lane. The club is in Summers Lane
Hadleigh RUFC
Take the A134 towards Sudbury and then take a right turn towards Hadleigh.
Once in Hadleigh High Street turn into Layham Road (flanked by library and
chemist), over bridge and go on round bends. the ground is on the left.
Harlow RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, then the A414 towards Harlow. Continue
on the A414 over the M11 junction and along the bypass. At the end of the
bypass 5th roundabout (Gates Garage) first left into Edinburgh Way which after 4
roundabouts becomes Elizabeth Way with ground on right.
Harpenden RFC
Take the A12 towards London, the M25
towards Watford, and the M1 Northbound. Leave the M1 at Junction 9 then
get onto the A5138 towards St Albans. At the first roundabout turn left
onto the B487. About 500 metres up a steep hill and around a bend turn
left into Redbourn Lane and the Rugby Club.
Harwich & Dovercourt
RUFC
A120 from Colchester to Parkeston Roundabout. 3rd exit, to top of hill. Turn
left past hospital. Take 3rd right into Highfield Ave. Continue over crossroads
into The Drive. Turn right at bottom. Turn immediately left, pass swimming pool.
Clubhouse behind Pool.
Haslemere RFC MAP
Take the
A12 towards London, and the M25 Southbound over the Queen Elizabeth
Bridge. Carry on until you get to the A3 junction, and go Westbound away
from London. Haslemere Rugby Club is located at Woolmer Hill Sports Centre about
2 minutes from the A3 just South of the Hindhead Traffic Lights. Follow
directions to 'The Edge' Sports Centre from the A3 (Sharp turning off the A3
just as it turns into a dual carriageway.) Then take the first left and the
ground is about 400m down on the left hand side.
Haverhill &
District RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, and at Stanway
take the A1124 towards Halstead. At
Halstead continue on the A1124, and at Sible Hedingham take the A1017 towards
Haverhill. From the Haverhill bypass take the roundabout exit signed Clements
Estate. Take the 2nd left up School Lane.
Haywards Heath RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, and the M25 Southbound over the Queen
Elizabeth Bridge. Take the M23 towards Gatwick and at the end the A23
towards Brighton. Turn off A23 towards Cuckfield on B215. Right at
first junction into B2114 towards Cuckfield. Ground on ruight about 3/4
mile.

From main roundabout in town centre take Station road left of Kodak Tower,
then Second right into St Johns Road, over Moor, Through Boxmoor Village, over
small roundabout into Northridge Way. The club/Chaulden Lane 250yds on left.
Hertford
RFC
Take the A12 towards London, the M25
Northbound, and the A10 Northbound. Leave the A10 at the Rush
Green Roundabout - signposted Hertford A414 - and immediately
take the first exit - signposted Great Amwell B1502. Hoe Lane is
the first turning on the left approximately 200m from the
roundabout. The entrance to the clubhouse and grounds is
approximately 300m from the B1502 on the left hand side.
Holt RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, then the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds, then the
A140 towards Norwich. Keep on the Norwich ring road and take the A140
towards Cromer. At a roundabout take the B1149 towards Holt. At Holt
turn left onto the A148 towards Cromer. After approx 1 mile turn
left into Bridge Road, signposted Holt RFC.
Ipswich
RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich. At
the A14 (Toys R Us) junction carry straight on towards Ipswich.
As you enter the town follow the signs for Woodbridge which means
taking a left turn. Keep on this road (which eventually becomes
Valley Road) over a number of roundabouts. Watch out for a
roundabout at the junction with Tuddenham Road with a cemetery on
the right. Go straight on into Colchester Road, over a railway
bridge and bear left towards the Northgate Sports Centre. Go to
the end of the road, turn right and you will see the entrance to
Ipswich Rugby Club on the left.
Ipswich YM RUFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich. At
the A14 (Toys R Us) junction carry straight on towards Ipswich.
As you enter the town follow the signs for Woodbridge which means
taking a left turn. Keep on this road (which eventually becomes
Valley Road) over a number of roundabouts. Take a right turn at a roundabout
towards Rushmere. Ground is about 1 mile on the right.
Lakenham Hewett
RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds and the A140
towards Norwich. Continue past roundabout at Outer Ring Road into
Norwich. Turn left onto B1113 (new Buckenham Road) at Tesco store. Ground
1.5 miles on right.
Letchworth Garden
City RUFC
Take the A1 northbound and leave at
Junction 9. Follow the sign to
Letchworth passing through a long roundabout to a conventional roundabout
at which you turn right on to the A505 following the sign to Baldock.
At the next roundabout turn right into the
North Herts Sports Centre and immediately
turn right again onto a single track which takes you behind the sports
centre to the Rugby club.
Luton RFC
Leave the M1 at J10, Follow down to the roundabout at
J10A. From here take the 3rd exit towards Harpenden. After about 300M take the
right turn into Newlands Road, the club house is then on your left after about
800M.
Maidstone RFC
From the M20 Junction 7 proceed 1-2 miles on A249 towards Maidstone.. At
roundabout keep left onto A20. 100 yards to traffic lights turn right to
Square Hill. Turn left at mini roundabout into Mote Avenue.
Maldon
RUFC
Take the B1022 Maldon Road from
Colchester. Carry on past the Zoo, through Tiptree and Gt Totham
until you get to Heybridge. At the very first roundabout turn
left towards Goldhanger. Grounds is 400 yards on the left past a
telephone box.
May & Baker
RUFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood and continue past the M25 and onto Eastern
Avenue. At the traffic lights by the Moby Dick pub turn left onto A1112
towards Dagenham. Follow signs to Dartford Tunnel along A1112 for 2.5
miles to traffic lights by Eastbrook pub. Turn left towards Rush Green
Hospital and Romford into Dagenham Road. Continue to mini roundabout an
turn right into he sports ground.
Mersea Island RFC
From Colchester Rugby Club go to the town centre then follow the signs for
Mersea, taking the B1025. When you cross the causeway turn left into East
Road. Take the third turning on the right. The ground is at East
Mersea Youth Camp.
Metropolitan Police RLFC
Imber Court Sports Ground. Take the A12 towards London, then the M25
Southbound over the Dartford Crossing.
Leave M25 at A3 and head on A3 towards London. Then take A309 turning
towards Esher. As you enter High Street, by The Bear PH, turn RIGHT. Pass
Sandown park Racecourse
then at next Traffic Lights turn LEFT.
Go past Esher BR
Station & continue ahead until you get to a sharp Right Hand Bend.
At this Bend you will see gates directly ahead – this is the rear entrance to
Imber Court carry on straight through these gates
and follow path to Car Park by
Changing Rooms.
Millwall RFC
A102 North from A13. Off at Old Ford Slip. Right at top of slip into
Wick Lane. Follow to roundabout, last turning off. Straight to Cadogan
Terrace. Car park opposite Top o' the Morning Pub.
Mistley RFC
Take the A120 towards Harwich, continue to water tower, and left then right
at TV mast, left into Straight Road, continue to T junction, turn left. On
sharp right bend turn into Shrubland Road, ground 10 yards left
Newmarket
From the clock tower in the town
centre take the B1063 (Exning Road) - pass the Hospital on the
right and the Sport Centre on the left - Turn left into Elizabeth
Avenue - 100 yards on left turn into Scaltback School - Follow
road to Sports Pavilion.
North Walsham
From Norwich take the B1150 to North Walsham. Go through Coltishall towards
North Walsham. Ground is on the left past the Three Horseshoes pub.
Norwich RFC
From Norwich take the B1150 to North Walsham. Follow the road until you
see Norwich Rugby club on the left.
Old Edwardians
Take the A12 towards Brentwood and carry on past the M25. At Gallows
Corner (junction of A12 and A127) take the B118 to Romford at roundabout 2nd
exit. Follow to 2nd roundabout take first exit. At 3rd roundabout take 3rd
exit into B118 London Road, follow for 2 miles. Ground is on the left next
to St Edwards School.
Old
Northamptonians
Take A14 until entering Northamptonshire. At next major junction it's A605 right
to Peterborough and A45 left to Northampton. Take the A45.
Carry straight on over all the roundabouts past Stanwick and Higham Ferrers.
On the edge of Wellingborough the A45 is a left turn off a roundabout.
On edge of Northampton just after going UNDER the second flyover there is a
major retail park on the left called Riverside.
After this there is a major flyover junction - take the left hand lane and go
down the slip road. The roundabout has traffic lights. Keep in the right hand
lane and take the last turning AFTER the one to the Town Centre (probably has
local signs to Rushmere and Abington).
After a few hundred yards road bears left and uphill (watch out for the speed
camera at 30mph). At the first set of lights turn left into Billing Road. After
150 yards turn right into ON's RFC.
OR
Go up to J15 of the M1, and turn Right on the A45 into Northampton. Go under two flyovers (dual carriageway bears Right a little under the second and larger of the two). Then take the second slip road exit on Left signposted Town Centre and A428 Bedford (dual carriageway continues over flyover bearing right at this point - don't go that way). Slip road brings you down to a roundabout with traffic lights. Take the second exit left (single carriage road). Watch for the speed camera around the first bend. Climb hill towards traffic lights where you turn Left. After 200 yards, entrance to Old Northamptonians ground is on the Right.
Pegasus RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood. On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130
towards Basildon. Continue on the A130 until you get to the A13.
Take the A13 London bound, and at the Five Bells roundabout turn into Fobbing
Road, go past the Fire Station and turn into Herd Lane.
Rayleigh Wyverns RFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford, then the A130 towards Southend. From
A130 Rettendon Turnpike roundabout take A132 west towards Wickford, Runwell
Road. Take first right, Runwell Chase, following sign for Runwell Hospital. Head
straight over roundabout and club house is on the right.
Ruislip RFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford. At Brentwood take the M25
anti-clockwise
towards Harlow. At Junction 16 go onto
to M40 towards London and then onto the A40. After Northolt Airport turn
left into West End Road A4180. The ground is three miles on the left.
Rochford
Hundred RFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford.
On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130 towards Basildon and
Southend. Take the A127 towards Southend. At the Bell Public
House filter left into the B1013 Rochford Road. Continue over the
roundabout, bridge and past the station. After 1 mile turn left
into Rectory Road and the ground is on the right before the
bridge.
Romford & Gidea Park
RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood and continue past the M25 and onto Eastern
Avenue. At Moby Dick PH turn left into Whalebone Lane North, at next
lights turn left into London Road. Afetr half a mile turn left into
Jutsums Lane, proceed under railway bridge. At junction turn left into
Crow Lane, Ground 100 yards on right.
Saffron Walden RFC
Take the A12 towards London then the A120 towards Bishops Stortford.
Go over the M11 and take the A120 sign posted for Hertford. Strait over the
first roundabout and right at the second (signposted for Stansted) Turn right in
Stansted opposite the Total petrol station. At the bottom of the hill, turn
left, then right at the fork in the road. Follow this road for 2 mile, through
Elsenham. Turn left at the signpost for 'Henham 1 mile'. Follow the road through
Henham village and turn right at the war memorial. Follow the road out of the
village for one mile until you find the club.
Saracens
Take the A12 towards Brentwood then the M25 towards Harlow. At
Junction 24 take the A111 towards Cockfosters. keep on the A111 past
Cockfosters underground station. Go over a roundabout and you will see the
playing fields on the left. Turn left into Green Road and the entrance is
on the left. Parking in almost non-existent.
Shelford
Take the A12 towards London. At
Marks Tey take the A120 towards Stansted Airport. When you reach
the Stansted Airport Junction take the M11 northbound towards
Cambridge. Leave at Junction 11 taking the A1309 towards
Cambridge. Turn right at the first lights into Shelford Road. The ground entrance is 1 mile on the right opposite a garden centre.
Southend RFC
Take the A12 towards London. On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130
then the A127 to Southend. Continue into Southend past The Bell Public
House to a roundabout where you take the second exit into Priory Crescent.
Keep Left over a railway bridge to dual carriageway (Eastern
Avenue). Turn left at the roundabout into Sutton Road, go past the Fire
Station and the Cemetery to a roundabout where you turn left into and Industrial
Estate. Follow the road to the ground at the end.
Southwold
Take the A12 towards Ipswich. At
the Ipswich Toys-R-Us roundabout take the A14 towards Felixstowe
then take the A12 towards Lowestoft. Keep on the A12 until you
turn right onto the A1095 towards Southwold. As you enter
Southwold, turn right at the Kings Head Pub. The clubhouse is 400
yards on the left opposite the water tower.
South Woodham
Ferrers RFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford.
On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130 towards Basildon and
Southend. At the Rettendon Turnpike take the A132 to South
Woodham Ferrers. Follow the signs to Saltcoats Industrial Estate.
The ground is on the left after crossing 3 roundabouts.
Staines RFC
From M25: Take M3 to end (towards London). Continue on A.316 and
turn off at slip road to Lower Feltham. Turn immediately left onto Feltham
Hill Road. Turn left just past Unigate Dairy. Ground is on
left.
Stanford le Hope RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood. On the Chelmsford bypass take the A130
towards Southend. At the A13 go right towards London. Turn off at
A1014 junction onto Manorway, follow to 1st roundabout. Turn right at
roundabout into Corringham Road. Take 1st left, Rainbow Lane, then 1st
right into Billet Lane. Ground & clubhouse at far end on left hand
side.
Stowmarket
Take the A12 towards Ipswich and then the
A14 towards Bury St Edmunds. Take
the Stowmarket exit from the A14. Follow signs to Stowmarket. When
in Stowmarket take the third exit off the first roundabout and go straight over
at the traffic lights. At the second roundabout take the second exit and
at the next roundabout take the first exit. Turn left into Chilton Hall
Estate. Stowmarket RUFC is about half a mile on the right hand side.
Sudbury
RFC
Take the A134 to Sudbury. At the first roundabout approaching
Sudbury turn left into Shawlands Avenue. Follow the road until
you see a signpost to Sudbury RFC; turn right into Head Lane.
Follow the road until you see another signpost to Sudbury RFC;
turn left into Rugby Road. The club is at the end.
Thames RFC
From M25
Head towards Kent
Take the A13 exit Junction 31
Head towards A13 - London - which is the 3rd exit (1st exit is A13-Southend, 2nd
exit takes you to Lakeside)
Then, after a mile or two, leave the A13 on the Wennington exit.
The slip road takes you to a roundabout. Turn Right towards Rainham.
Go straight over the immediate second roundabout as this is the slip road
back onto the A13.
Immediately as you leave the second roundabout, there is a grass verge
between you and the oncoming traffic. After
about 150 yards, there is a break in the verge, opposite an industrial
unit and car dealers, and should be signposted Sth Ockendon, Aveley
etc.
Turn Right. This is Sandy lane.
Go to the end and go straight over the roundabout.
This is Aveley Bypass.
You will see a footbridge in front of you. Turn
Left under the footbridge into Belhus Golf Course.
We change in the green pavilion in the middle of the field.
Alternatively, If you can get to
Lakeside Shopping centre, you want to head
London Bound on the A1306 until you get to the double roundabouts, then join the
route above from there.
Thetford
Turn right out of the clubhouse, go to the end of Mill Road and
turn right towards Sudbury. Stay on the A134 through Sudbury and
Bury St Edmunds until you get onto the Thetford bypass (A11).
Turn right towards Norwich, then at a roundabout take the A134
towards Kings Lynn and Mundon. The ground is 1.5 miles at the
bottom of a hill on the right hand side; a semi-concealed
entrance almost opposite Thermalite sign.
Thurston RFC
Take the A12 to Ipswich then the A14 towards Bury St Edmunds. Exit at
Beyton then signed to Thurston, turn right underneath railway bridge, follow
road past Upper School towards Ixworth for half mile, ground on right.
Thurrock RFC
From the M25 Junction 30 take the A13 to 2nd slip road signposted to
Grays. At roundabout at the top of the slip road turn right heading for
Grays. At the next roundabout take the first exit to Stifford Clays and follow
the road for 2 miles to mini roundabout. Go straight over and the ground is on
the right after a block of flats and speed de-restriction sign.
Upminster RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood. Stay on the A12 to Gallows Corner and
turn left onto the A127 Southend Arterial Road. Turn off at the Hall Lane Flyover signed to
Upminster. The ground is one mile on the left with the entrance beside the
Golf Club entrance.
Upper Clapton FC

Wanstead RFC
Take the A12 towards Brentwood, and continue on the A12 to Gants Hill. At Gants Hill
roundabout take A1400 (third exit) Woodford Avenue dual carriageway. Go to
"Charlie Brown's " roundabout (second roundabout you meet) and come
back on yourself going east. Immediately before Harvesters Public House in
left, turn left into Roding Lane North. Ground is half a mile on the left.
Westcliff
RFC
Take the A12 towards London. On the Chelmsford bypass take
the A130 towards Basildon and Southend. At the A127 go east
towards Southend. Drive past Rayleigh and continue towards
Southend. 1 mile past traffic light at Kent Elms Corner (Essex Ford on corner)
take left slip road before Tesco roundabout. At end of bypass take right
at roundabout into Eastwoodbury Lane. Straight at next roundabout, then
left at next roundabout into Aviation Way. Ground half a mile on the left.
West Norfolk RUFC
A149 King's Lynn bypass towards Hunstanton. A148 towards King's Lynn at
roundabout by Knight's Hill Hotel. Right at traffic lights into Castle Rising
Road. Left at T-junction to North Wootton. Through village and turn left into
Gatehouse Lane on village green.
Wisbech RFC
From A47 Wisbech bypass to Town centre, cross either of two bridges over
River Nene into Old Market. Clubhouse 100 yards on in Chapel Road (next to
petrol station).
Witham RUFC
Take the A12 towards Chelmsford. Take exit for Witham, follow road
through town centre (Newland Street - Bridge Street). Through 4 sets of lights.
Past Bramston Sports Centre on left. At next set of lights turn right into
Spinks Lane. At T-Junction turn right into Highfield Road. Follow road round to
left. Under railway bridge - then next left.
Woodbridge
RFC
Take the A12 towards Ipswich, then the A14 towards Felixstowe
and then the A12 towards Lowestoft. At the last roundabout on the
A12 Ipswich bypass take the A1152 signed Orford. Follow this road
over some traffic lights and a level crossing. At a roundabout
turn left keeping on the A1152 for Orford. Go straight on at a
left fork. The ground is approximately a 1/4 mile on the right.
Woodford
RFC
Take the A12 towards London, then
the M25 northbound and then the M11 towards London. Follow the
signs for the North Circular Road A406 westbound (towards
Heathrow). Once you are on the A406 take the first slip road
towards Whipps Cross and Woodford. At the roundabout take the
exit towards Epping A104. After about half a mile, when you see
Woodford Green on your right, keep a look out for a signpost to
the left for Woodford RFC. The club is at the end of the track.

Take the A134 towards Sudbury.
Keep going through Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds keeping on the A134
to Thetford where you take the A11 towards Norwich. On the
Wymondham by-pass turn left at the Somerfields Supermarket
roundabout. Go over the next roundabout into Tuttles Lane and the
ground is 200 yards on the right.
