Colchester Rugby Club is regularly contacted by Primary Schools wanting coaches to run after school rugby clubs in term-time. Coaches are paid £2 per child per session to run clubs, and with a minimum of 10 children at each session you can earn between £20 and £40 for an hour's work!
Apart from holding a qualification you will need to attend a Child Protection course and have your suitability for coaching children assessed.
Colchester RFC has Secondary Schools who want coaches to deliver Tag Rugby programmes to girls in years 7-9. The programmes are funded through Essex Active Sports with Level 1 coaches being paid £15 per session.
Colchester also runs sessions at Special Schools for learning disabled children aged 12-16. These sessions are commissioned through the Childrens' Fund and coaches can earn £20 per for eac one.
