Ravens captain Dan Howson made the front page of the East Anglian Daily Times in March after saving an opposition player's life on Saturday. Chingford II captain Martin Shuttleworth had swallowed his tongue after a tackle and was unconscious before Dan put his fingers into his mouth and cleared his airway.
The incident was included in the regular match report from the club, and the local papers picked up on it and interviewed and photographed Dan with the EADT running it on the front page.

Dan Howson is to be presented with a magnum of Champagne after the RFU's
Touchline magazine decided his heroics were worthy of the Bollinger Celebration
of the Month in their April 2004 edition.
