PROCEEDS TO COLCHESTER RFC CHANGING ROOM EXTENSION CLUBHOUSE DEVELOPMENT
WHAT IS IT?
Ground Floor
An extension to the current changing facilities of 100sq meters of self
contained changing, showering and toilet accommodation allowing:
- complete privacy from the rest of the changing accommodation [ child protection]
- multi use [ 3 or 4 Junior teams , 6 mini squads , 1 or 2 senior squads ]
First Floor
100 sq metres of extra social area with a bigger kitchen , secure, walk in
shop, extra space to accommodate everyone on Sunday mornings. Disabled lift and
facilities
WHY?
Because on Sundays our current facilities for both changing and social are
unable to cope .
FUNDING
- WE HAVE BEEN GRANTED PLANNING PERMISSION
- THE COUNCIL HAVE GRANTED US £70000
- THE TOTAL COST IS £260000
- WE HAVE APPLIED FOR ANOTHER £155000 OF GRANTS
- WE HAVE TO RAISE £35000 OURSELVES
- WE HAVE £15000+ ALREADY WE AIM TO RAISE ANOTHER £5000 FROM THIS RAFFLE IF
EVERY MEMBER SELLS JUST 2 BOOKS WORTH £10 IN TOTAL - WE ARE THERE. SELL MORE
AND RAISE MORE THAN 5000! HELP MAKE YOUR CLUBHOUSE AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE WHO USE
IT !
TIMETABLE
We have been granted Planning Permission and will be going to tender in
December. We aim to have full plans in the Club House and on the web site so you
can see what we aim to achieve. We hope to start building across the late summer
- subject to getting all the funding in place. Building should take about 4 or 5
months so the project should be finished by the turn of the year latest - if we
have the funds .
