McDonald's has sponsored Colchester's Mini Section and the Colchester Mini Rugby Festival since 1994. This support from Cas Morehen, owner of the three McDonald's Restaurants in Colchester, has allowed the club's mini section to provide some of the best facilities available anywhere for its youngest players. the Festival has grown into the biggest in the Eastern Counties, and additional sponsorship for the Primary schools tournaments has allowed the game to be spread far beyond the club's own boundaries.
